Alpe d'Huez shows a side nobody has seen before. An explosive early move over the Col Bayard could set the tone, before the Col du Noyer and Col d'Ornon test who can hold their position ahead of the legendary 21 hairpin bends.

Stage 19 (Gap → Alpe d'Huez, 127.9 km) is a mountain stage with 3,605 m of cumulative climbing — one of the race's queen stages. Pure climbers capable of sustaining high power output on long ascents are the ones to watch.

⚡ The real race begins on the final climb. Any rider distanced before the summit will lose significant time on GC rivals.
