Stage preview

Out of Mulhouse and straight up the Grand Ballon, this stage's real secret is the new climb to La Hoye -- a converted forest cycle path, 11.2 km at an irregular 7.3% -- with six kilometres still to go to Le Markstein after that.

Stage favourites

Stage 14 (Mulhouse → Le Markstein, 155.3 km) is a mountain stage with 4,602 m of cumulative climbing — one of the race's queen stages. Pure climbers capable of sustaining high power output on long ascents are the ones to watch.

The real race begins on the final climb. Any rider distanced before the summit will lose significant time on GC rivals.
