Barely 105 km, but with 3,000 m of climbing packed into them it is almost certainly the hardest day of the opening week. Andorra packs relentless climbing into a short distance, and short mountain stages have a habit of exploding early. There is nowhere to hide here: the general classification contenders will be fully exposed before the first rest day.
Stage favourites
Stage 4 (Andorra la Vella → Andorra la Vella, 104.8 km) is a mountain stage with 3,009 m of cumulative climbing — one of the race's queen stages. Pure climbers capable of sustaining high power output on long ascents are the ones to watch.
⚡ The real race begins on the final climb. Any rider distanced before the summit will lose significant time on GC rivals.
